I searched the thread but couldn't really find my answer...

I'm thinking about upgrading my new 2011 Access Cab halogen light w/ HID.
It has adequate light output, but I need something that's brighter and whiter.

If I remember correctly most halogen lamp reflectors are not designed for HID light and the light output pattern will not be good.

Any thoughts on 2011 Taco halogen to HID upgrade?
I've no intention of messing up the factory housing or add projectors within the housing.
I just want the simple plug and play upgrade.
Will I get good light output w/ HID upgrade?
Any cheap HID upgrade suggestion or brand that you guys could recommend?
My budget is tight so I need something inexpensive but decent quality.

    Thanks in advance!

The output wont be a nice as a full retro, but it is an improvement. As long as you keep the shields on them you wont be blinding to many people. The factory reflector will scatter the light, but the shields that come on most HID PNP kits has a sheild on them.

When people take them off, they really blind the shit out of on coming traffic.

I ran them in my X-runner for 3 years and I really liked them. I have projectors in my Dcab and the light is much more controlled.
