So i have my 2010 black dc and noticed from the front door to the back door on both sides on the bottom it has like a rough straight line of paint. If you look at the pic you can see the like bubbles and didnt notice if anybody had this on there trucks. Mine is only 4 months old and notice since day one and Im not happy. rest of paint is smooth but then if you put your hand on bottom on door its so rough.

Normal, and it helps make the touch up paint from the rock chips less noticeable.

If you want to get your point across on TW, it needs to be repeated at LEAST 9 times

My 2011 even has air craft tape over some of the smooth painted areas on the rear fenders to protect it for stones.

I have it, as wlel, and it looks to be planned and not an painting ovesight. I feel like it is a rough thicker paint to keep from getting damaged so easily. Thats just me though, never have I had a vehicle in which the maker thought ahead and done this either though :p

    never has bothered me though..

yeah mine is like that too. don't worry though i heard when the new design comes out in 2012 they aren't even going to paint them. they are just going to be bare metal. that is actually toyota's solution to the frame rust problem. if your body is rusting too you will think less about your rusting frame.
