Cleared headlights, Black emblems, Painted black valence on front bumper, 2.5" 5100 Billys front, 1.5" AAL rear, Satin black TRD O/F wheels with 265/75 16 Definity M/T, Spidertrax spacers
    Guys,

My Prerunner is not equipped with the TRD Bilsteins that the factory TRD Taco comes with. A local is selling his factory Bilsteins from his 08 DC Taco. Would it be worth it to pick these up for a good price? Also, these will fit with no problem on my Access Cab Prerunner correct?

FWIW, I'm on a budget here so 5100s are likely not in my budget at this moment.

I should mention that I will be putting a 3" Toytec lift kit in as well. :D

    Kind Regards,
    Ryan

I understand that the 5100s are better than the factory billy's...but I'm tight on cash at this moment and spending $270 for the 5100s + $220 for the lift kit is out of budget.

Should I just wait to pick up the 5100s?

The truck doesn't see any trails and will likely not see any to be honest. Strictly driven daily around town. :)

Worthy or not? Should I even bother changing it?

    Kind Regards,

wait, why are you not just getting the suspension TSB. They give you the bilsteins for free with the rear springs and they will do an alignment.

no, it doesn't. If you had an extended warranty, then I believe they would cover it.

I got the set of 4 Bilsteins for $50 with the fronts springs still attached. 15k miles on them. :)

The truck was bought used a year ago from Elmore Toyota. I'll see if it's still under warranty...should I even bother?

True. I just realized the car is under their used car warranty. :)

So they replace all four corners with TRD Bilsteins?

I should give my local Toyota dealer a call.

they may or may not cover it, but you should try. Print out the TSB listed in the sticky area of the 2nd gen and bring it in.

They'll replace 4 shocks, 2 leaf springs, and add an alignment
