Its not REAL tint in the reguards of a film.. Its mixed into the glass when the windows are made...

If im not mistaken factory uses 18%... Everyone gets "20" from the shops but I know a few tinters that tint with 18 as a "20" cause people cant really tell. So he stopped carrying 20 and all he has is the 18 cause of it...

I asked for 20 and he was like itll be 18 cause thats what most manufacturers use... I am not TOTALLY sure but hes been doing it plenty long and I am confident in what he said..

For those who have tried to match the front doors to the factory back doors, can we get some pictures from the inside comparing the two?

actually the pic makes it looks like a larger difference from the inside than what you really see.

Where'd you get a quote from? I talked to F1 Sports Car Center out on 280 across from Fresh Market and they quoted me $215 w/ tax for all 4 windows, back glass, and sliding rear window, 20% Llumar all the way around. I've been trying to shop it around and see who has good prices and does good work.

As someone who has tintied windows professionally for the last 11 years, I enjoy reading/hearing what people say about film- mainly because there is lot of mis-conceptions people have about it- I find it rather entertaining..lol! However, I would be happy to answer any questions if anybody needs advise :D

^^^ Is Llumar pretty nice film, also for that film is $200 + tax a fair price for 4 windows + back windshield and slider?

Just got my DC Tacoma done last night. I went with 18% on all four sides and back and went with 43% on the front windshield...all the way for $225. I did my other car for the first time with the full windshield and loved it. Glare and heat are cut waaaay down. Not legal, but it's hard to tell and LEOs don't seem to hassle for tint down here in the sunshine state. *knocks on wood*

I gotta say, I had my windshield done at 70% I believe and it's insane how much heat it cuts down on. I went light cause I didn't want any issues - no one can tell until they sit inside and feel the difference on the dash area.

Also had fronts done at a shade matching the factory tint.

    Highly recommended.
