Failed Inspection

    LED's and Neon Glow inside, Blacked out front end, 4X4 with Locking Diff, 5spd Manual, TRD package, CB Radio, Gray Wire Mod, Thrush exhaust system, Tinted marker lights, tailights, interior lights
    so my Taco failed inspection for Emissions. they said it was a bad cat. i highly doubt it there is no check engine light. good thing is i get a performance cat back out of it.

    The catalytic converter can definitely go bad without causing the check engine light to illuminate. I had one on my old Dodge pickup collapse (i.e. block the exhaust) with no check engine light. Of course when the rumble of the engine went to a hiss, I knew something was wrong.

    Also, just a heads up... 'cat back' exhaust systems are everything AFTER the catalytic converter (tubing, muffler, hardware), not the cat itself.
