They look rugged - but at the same time they look like pizza cutters. Maybe it'd be diff if I saw them on a Taco

I wouldn't get them. Some dude ordered a set from where i work and a week later he traded them in for a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Lol Pizza cutters....True. I had Falkens on my last truck. They lasted 9000 miles, depite their 30000 warranty. I took them back and got prorated credit to get new tires.

Think of them as a low line of Goodyear.

I would never buy them again, not even if they were uber cheap.

I had Falken's on my last car and they lasted 11,000 miles. Obviously a completely different tire than a truck tire, but still.

I deal with tires for a living, as an assistant manager at a national tire chain. I wouldn't buy Falkens, and try never to sell them. They just don't last. I had a salesguy that used to love them. I swear after he got canned we prorated out every set he sold. I don't have any experience with that exact tire, just the brand.

I have 6,000 miles on mine. They seem to work great in snow/ice/offroad. However the rear drivers side tire just got a 1" tear in-between the treads. The belt/next layer isn't showing but maybe not so good offroad...

    Opinions?

Okay... it was one I considered after it was clear that General would not be producing the Grabber in our size, as promissed... plus I needed an 'affordable' tire because our (my) economy is so messed up...

After reading and seeing so many GOOD reports on the Hankook Dynapro ATm tires, I went that route.. and couldn't be happier!

The tire in this photo has 8,000 miles on it, and it looks almost new... Quiet on the highway, great snow and mud performance... and no problem in Baja in the sand!

I put 25kish miles on my high countrys, they had 10 on them when I got the truck so 35ish total. Still had plenty of tread left, easily 40%. They ran great on the road and in the snow/ice.

I only got rid of them because I wanted a bigger tire/wheel and liked the look of the dynapro atm's.

Just an update for any that care. Bought a set of 285 75 16 about a year ago and they suck. The got good traction offroad but gut cut up real bad in the rocks and after a year they were completely bald. Would not recommend them, and I will never buy anything from falcon again.
