My g015 have been good in the rain etc. not loud either. Anything with aggressive tread will be loud and scarier on a rainy highway vs the more tame passenger type treads you see on cars/oem trucks.

I had duratracs on my 2nd gen sr5 in Ottawa icy snowy cold AF winter....they were ok mostly but horrible on smooth hard packed snow and ice. Debated wildpeaks for my first winter in new 3rd gen but ended up choosing skinny GT grabber arctics due to ice handling mainly.

Wildpeaks are very popular as an all rounder, Cooper Discovery At/3 as well.
Toyo A/T III are brand new and look great.

I never had problems with K02 in the rain when I had them.
We run summer/winters here in the interior but if I lived on the island I would be looking at one of these AT.

The Geolanders are fantastic in the snow. I have KO2 on my Tacoma and Geo’s on one of my Subarus. can’t speak to the wild peaks but I was going to give them a try on the other Subaru.

I agree. My GO15's have been great in all conditions. Not sure why some say Geolanders suck in the rain unless they are referring to the H/T's. Mine have excellent wet traction. One poster above said the center wore out first. Well that would be a pressure issue. Too high of tire pressure for the vehicle weight.

I dont know anything about the wild peaks, but I had geolanders on my 1500 and absolutely loved them! I got 50000 Mike's out of them and sold them to a friend with loads of tread left. Shoot I think he still has them on his wife's Tahoe! My truck felt like it was on rails!

I’m just finishing my first winter on e load 265/70r17 wildpeaks. I’m up in eastern Ontario as some others where we get heavy snow falls, and a lot of ice and slush.

I have to say, I’ve be been pleased with the WP performance. They are no winter tire, but for 80% of the commuting on highways/urban streets in my area, they gave me confidence. If it was a bit icy or slushy out, I’d drive a bit more cautiously than on a winter tire, but again I am happy with the on road winter performance. There was only one time this winter where I slid to a stop from about 40ish MPH but I had more than enough space in front of me for it not be an issue (I didn’t crash).

on service roads/trails, in deep snow (12”+) they did well on flat ground, but struggled with even moderate inclines. With the freeze/thaw cycles we get here some of my trails were inaccessible after a layer of ice formed before a subsequent heavy snow fall. Same issue when the light powder started to melt and get heavy/slushy.

the last picture is taken from the top of a relatively long hill, where I couldn’t get enough momentum/traction to climb and eventually slid backwards off the trail and got a little stuck lol. Point here is that there was a layer of ice towards the crest of the hill that I just couldn’t get enough traction on to get over, so I ended up having to back track and get the snow shoes on a bit early lol.

Eventually when these tires are done, I will probably replace them, with 255/80 Wild peaks. Looking at the other options available, I think these are an excellent compromise for everyday driving and off road stuff.

I’ve never had issue on wet pavement in the summer, but I also don’t drive with a lead foot.

    Same Climate.

I've used Toyo Open Countries for a very long time and just jumped ship to the Wildpeaks. Very happy with them. I head great things about both them and the KO2's but I just didnt like the look of the KO2's

It's really up to you. Both will do just fine. Both are "three peak rated".

If you are in doubt about capable tires for winter, get snow tires. Plain and simple. The 3 peak rated ones I find to be a good balance all year but I still run snow's during winter. Studded if the area you live doesn't get a lot of plow attention.

    Don't overthink it here OP.

I had the geolander A/T G015 in load range E. I believe they were 265/70R17. Its been a while since I had them on my other truck.... but boy did they ride good and smooth.
