    A 1st Gen Xtra Cab wheelbase is only 5" shorter than a DCSB/Access Cab and 18.5" longer than a single cab 1st Gen, although Todd has lengthened his wheelbase some moving the axle forward during the SAS and I've moved my rear axle back an inch. Not sure how much difference there is between us now. So I'm 4" shorter in wheelbase than a 2nd Gen DCSB. Not sure how much difference that would make, especially compared to 2nd Gen on 35s with me on 33s.

    As for the other stuff, I think the front bumper moved up in priority after I dicked the plastic one up last weekend. I'm considering my options since I can't afford a winch and I'm certainly not buying one before I regear. I'm thinking about just going with a tube bumper type thing that will give me a better approach angle and better recovery points but with no winch option.

    As for bobbing the bed, I don't see that happening. I do need to use the truck as a truck from time to time. The most I'd do is cut the lower rear bed sides and put a closely tucked high clearance bumper with recovery points and an integral receiver hitch on it so I can ditch the rock anchor hitch and stock bumper to get a little better departure angle.

    Heh, I thought you at least has an LSD unit. Did they get rid of the LSDs and just go pure ATRAC with your year TRD Sport?

    Haha, shit happens, but nope, didn't need it at all. :thumbsup:

    The 2012 and up have traction control via the abs I believe. My traction control system is disabled due to the steering angle sensor being messed up from a rough alignment when I did my cam tabs. Tried to reset it but oh well. My next big purchase for the truck is 4.56s and a locker until then I’ll be one wheel peel

    I can switch from Traction control to auto lsd to open diffs by pressing one button. Then there is 4 hi 4 lo. 4 lo with rear locker or 4 lo with rear locker and A-trac. 90% of the time at Citrus im locked in 4lo J/K. I run LSD

    Correct. The sport since 2012 or so has a simulated LSD using brake modulation. It works to some degree, but not as good as a locker by any means. I think it's good for not really deep sand, snow and sloppy fire roads mostly, but not for deep mud or rock crawling. It works on both the rear and front axle in 4Hi, but 4Lo it's disabled (but easily tricked into working in 4Lo with a quick snip snip of a wire or two).

    I had a blast, I think my favorite part was the BS sessions around the fire. Some of you guys are crazy (in a good way)!

    Already looking forward to February.

    Ive had my truck forever,so its paid for. No fancy traction devices, except an LSD thats worn out and doesn’t do shit really. I just dont want to damage my truck,i dont really have anything to prove. Im still learning what it’s capable of. Although the more shit i keep putting on it, i wont have anymore excuses not to see what it can do. lol.

    Edit, i also need to sack up and camp. That seems like the best part of the whole thing, ive been missing out.

    If I remember right we (sports) have LSD but it's electronic not mechanical. I believe the switch to electronic was in 09. I think it basically cuts power when the wheel starts to slip. At least this is my understanding.
    I turn my traction control off to stop it from cutting power in the sand.

    That's what I do, just by hitting that button make a big difference.

    If you hold the button down for a few seconds while completely stopped, it will turn it off and yiu should get a light that says TRAC OFF

    This mode works a lot like limited slip on both axles, There is no throttle retardation, just brake application to the wheel that slips all handled through the ABS system. It does work pretty well. It does get disabled in 4Lo unless you do the "Yellow Wire Mod" which is super easy to do, the wire lives behind the glove box and takes about 10 minutes tops to perform the mod.
