Does anybody know of a cool place to take the family for the day, maybe even camp in North GA? Just looking for a cool creek or river spot to play all day.

Tallulah River road northwest of Clayton. There's 3 campgrounds that are fairly cheap along the road and it's, bar none, one of the most beautiful drives in the state.

Moccasin Creek is a cool little spot. It’s just above Moccasin Creek Campground. If you want to camp less than 3 days you have to stop in and see if there’s a spot available. Miles of trout stream through the mountain. There’s also a trout hatchery down at the bottom on Dukes creek I believe it is that runs into Lake Burton right beside it. They have an area of the stream right there also that’s for kids only where they dump the trout in. There’s also 3 or 4 small ponds beside the hatchery where the kids can fish.

Depends on what you mean by play. I’m thinking kids playing and water time not wheelin

I 2nd lake Dockery it’s awesome and lots of shade for pale people like me. FYI no boat ramp here but can put in kayaks from bank etc. I also like lake Winfield Scott near by which has a boat ramp/electric only lake. Both are stocked with little trout that are fun to catch and better to eat. Both of these might still be closed not sure as nat Park not state park. State parks are open but pretty crowded from what I’ve heard from friends and saw at cloudland last week.
