Just thought I'd share a little off topic news, I was having a good Fathers Day, and decided to go to a local outdoor amusment park "Tom's Farms" in Corona, Ca., about 70 miles or so from where I live. We had our fun for the day and decided to leave and getting on the freeway the traffic was terrible, pretty much bumper to bumper and got a few miles down the road and my girlfriend who was driving looked over her shoulder to make a lane change and apparently the guy in front of us decided to also. And upon making the lane change the second car in front of us hit their brakes which made the guy in front of us slam his brakes thus in turn my girlfriend looking over her shoulder not seeing this turned to look forward and not having enough space and time to react we plowed into the rear of their full size chevy pickup. Bummer man, but thankfully nobody was hurt other than some serious bruises and being alittle sore. And the strange thing of it is.....is I was in an rear end accident three months ago " my first accident ever" and I also rearended someone and totaled out my 99 Tacoma. This has not been a good year so far:( Anyhow I thought I'd share alittle bit of this Fathers Day events with everone and post some pics taken with my cell phone at the seen.:( SP_A0321_d03c6712d9b44bf184d190ac8fd392ea80f24400.jpgSP_A0316_ce6ebfc517c941bb92da027da73b03595cb45f52.jpg

Man that sucks, i'm sorry that happened. But you can always be thankful nobody was hurt. Just think, you could be sitting at the hospital looking over your girlfriend right now, or vice versa. Always gotta count your blessings. My brother recently totalled my Beamer. She was my baby and i had her for 7 years. It sucks but at least i just lost a car and not a brother. I feel your pain though.

I had the same thing happen to me back in '93. Luckily I was in an '85 F150, that thing was indestructible. I totaled a Jeep Waggoner and Chevy S10, my truck got a scratch on the bumper and a small crack in the chrome on the grill. That was my first accident, there were a few more after that. Glad to hear your all okay.

I am sorry that happened to you. I am glad that the both of you are alright. I hope that your insurance company helps you out as much as possible. I am glad that you guys made it through unscathed for the most part. It had to be a bit of shake, though.

Best of Luck to you from here on out... ;)

Yes, that's true I'm glad nobody was hurt. We took the car to the body shop today and so far they are saying that it is repairable, I don't know we'll see what happens when they tear into it. And by the way that's tranny fluid in the pic not engine oil I thought it was oil but when I checked the fluids it was the tranny that did'nt register on the dip stick. By the way I would like to say I appreciate your guy's concern, keep us in your Prayer's please Thanks

Thank You, Ldytaco05 - That $7416.00 is still $2000.00 shy of it's 80% vehicle value which would have deemed it as a total loss. So thus the insurance views it as fixable. The vehicle is still worth $11,770 after 1 1/2 years and 29,000 miles later " it's an 2006". The sad reality is this will go down on the vehicles history on Carfax.com and greatly reduce the vehicles value after all of this is over.:(
