I ordered my '18 OEM Pro grille from Conicelli Toyota for $179. It took over a month to come in due to the national backorder, and they did request a VIN after I placed the order, but it's easy to look up a VIN on AutoTrader. Just be patient. I used a private sale VIN for an '18 Pro, so there was no way Toyota could track it.

Interesting. I had no idea. Any thoughts on why the OEM ones are so much cheaper in 2018?

Not entirely sure. I got the OEM ‘18 for the price, and bought the non TSS plastic garnish for way cheaper.

i'm in the same boat...got my caliraisedled grille for $250 (my dealer was selling it for $600 installed w/the garnish) and the garnish doesn't fit it...it is most certainly advertised to work with the TSS and they even specify to purchase the garnish if you get an error code

    That’s why it’s a knock off.

This post is over 2 months old and there are probably 20 other posts on the same topic. Why would did you pay $250 for a knock off when you can get OEM for $170? I feel for you, but don't have a lot of pity. You should contact caliraised and ask for a refund. There is no reason you should be paying more for a knock off.

You can no longer get a oem one for cheaper than Cali raised. They modified the order process and you have to have not only a vin, but a picture of a damaged grille and an explanation along with address name and phone number. I checked and ordered at numerous dealers. Camelback had the cheapest st like $259 or so. That parts guy was pissed about the rule. He said he got 40 orders a day one time before the rule!

That being said Cali Raised is false advertising clearly about the grille they sell. I sent mine back 10 minutes after I got it because I paid extra from the eBay knockoffs because they claim their grille works with the garnish. It does not work though. If I have to modify I wanted to get a OEM 17 one instead. They still tried to charge me a 15% restock fee!!! I got them to partially waive it to 5% and I had to pay $45 to ship it.
I will never do business with Cali raised again. It only took once.

My eBay $140 grill's garnish area mount looked exactly like that. Even though I had the 2018 garnish in hand, I realized it would not fit so I decided to just install the TSS module with what was on it. I glued a piece of black plastic in front of the TSS module (the plastic sheet was from a spare OCD Console Organizer so it was thin but solid). So far, so good. No errors, and PCS and Adaptive Cruise works normally. Plus, I think it ended up looking better without the shiny plastic. I actually liked the screws that hold the "garnish" to the grill as it is easier to remove than the starlock washers of the garnish.

You may want to check your facts. $259 is the list price. That hasn't changed. You should never pay list. I paid $170 for mine and could buy another one today at the same price. The parts guy said he only needs a VIN and the order gets placed. Personally after seeing a $120 ebay knock off, I would save $50 and get one of those if I had to do it again.

Sorry you paid too much and it is a shame that Cali doesn't stand behind their products.

Would you mind telling us your parts supplier? List price at most of the dealers is $385 for the 2018 grille. The $279 or whatever was the cheapest online price I found anywhere. I assure you I checked my facts. I searched all day last Thursday it’s tough to get them this month.

And I’m not worried about “paying too much.” What I paid for an OEM 2017 one is cheaper than a stock SR5 grille insert. These pro grilles are relatively cheap.

Nice thanks for the link! Doesn’t help me now, but it may help the next guy:). No buyers remorse here though. I’m just glad I managed to get one that wasn’t priced way too high.

My buddy bought a cheap one off eBay and we used a dremel to cut the part where the garnish goes into. We knew before hand it wasn’t going to be a straight forward install like the 18’ OEM grille that comes ready for garnish install...we just had to get creative
here we were making the necessary adjustments for the garnish
we used theses oem fasteners for the top nubs of the garnish...I believe they were like $1 each(you need 2)

here’s the finished product! Hoped this helped

What size tires are those and are they the OEM wheels or aftermarket?

There are a few different versions of the Garnish. I had the same issue. I dremeled off the tabs and made the holes for the top two pins larger. Covered the pins and bottom of the garnish in epoxy. Works fine and looks great.

Tires are 285/70/17 and they are aftermarket Fn fx pro wheels which to me are better than oem seeing as they are 17x8 0mm offset and 4.5 backspacing allowing you to mount a 285 tire safely

That is exactly what I am looking for. How much lift and what kind (if you don't mind my asking). Any rubbing?

I can confirm what Sungod stated. I bought mine from BT (the one in his link). 2018 Grill ($180), garnish ($50) and shipping to CA ($60) came in at about $290 total. Provided shipping info and Pro vin, no questions.

I just received my CaliRaised TRD Pro Grill today. I purchased the factory garnish for the radar to pair with it. Before it arrived, I contacted CaliRaised to confirm the garnish would fit in their grill including the proper slots and they said it would. I can confirm it does have the proper slots and the garnish fits. I will say that the grill sensor cover came with the plastic cover pins is melted instead of secured with a fastener. I had to break them to get the cover out. The factory garnish is now only held with the slotted clips which seems fairly secure. I think they should not melt the pins and include fasteners to affix either the cover or the garnish for the TSS sensor (radar). Overall, nice replica. My dealer would not sell me one for my 2018 TRD OffRoad and if they did, it would be far more than the CaliRaised. I hope this recent experience is helpful...Grill with Garnish.jpg Garnish_Tabs.jpg Garnish.jpg Melt.jpg All,
