The first book I remember reading and truly loving was "To kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee.It was required reading in my grade ten high school English class and it sparked a life-long love of reading.I went through a huge Stephen King stage and really enjoy Steinbeck and Leon Uris. His "Trinity" is another favorite and my son's name comes from it.I'm currently into "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett and am having a hard time putting it down.Depending on my mood I'll pick a classic or a contemporary, but really I'll read anything.

Tell us what books and Authors you enjoy.

Steinbeck and hemmingway are a few of my favorites. Stephen king is another fun author to read.

I like books with happy endings  like Of Mice and Men, Grapes of Wraith, For Whom the Bell Tolls. I also LOVE short stories, especially by Stephen King (The Body is AMAZING)

I was SHOCKED last night when my Steinbeck novel ended happily! (mostly)

I was never a big reader until my senior year in High School when I read The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice...

Last year I read The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, and its by far the best series I've ever read...

Other than that one of my favorite authors is Bill Bryson...

Lately, I have been a big fan of series, but I haven't found many I like... The Dexter Series was good, and I can't wait for the next one...

The Discworld Series by Terry Prachett. Great books, no solid story line, but a ton of fun to read. Prachett has well over 30 books in the series, and before long I found myself having read most of them...

I have always been a Stephen king fan.

Currently I am reading this book "Out of Captivity: Surviving 1,967 Days in the Colombian Jungle (Hardcover)
by Marc Gonsalves (Author), Tom Howes (Author), Keith Stansell (Author), Gary Brozek

It's about three guys who work for some company doing recon/intel in Columbia against the drug cartel. There plan chrashes, And are taken captive by FARC, And held for 1,967 days. Pretty good read! It's written in the words of the three American captives.
