i have a taylor acoustic, love it. but if i could buy an acoustic without worrying about money it still would be top of the line taylor or martin. electric (which i cant play enough to justify having a good one) would be an SG so i could rock out like angus young, currently i have a strat (mexico).

I have two Gibsons, a Les Paul and also an SG, and love them both!

Just to balance out the above comment about Fenders, here's just a few of the many great Les Paul and SG players:

    Angus Young
    Tony Iommi
    Joe Perry
    Jimmy Page
    Ace Frehley
    Gary Moore
    Slash
    Zakk Wylde
    Alex Lifeson
    Randy Rhoads

+1, I think Martin makes one of the nicest sounding acoustics. For electric, I have always been a big fan of the Les Paul (I really just enjoy the sound of a good hollow body electric. Gretch makes a good one too.)

(You might want to change the poll to Fender, Gibson or Other. A Les Paul is a model, not a brand)
There are way too many for me to choose just one. And when you consider most manufacturers make some great guitars and some crap guitars, it makes it even harder. FWIW, my electric is a heavily modded Fender Strat and my acoustic is a Yamaha. But if money was no object, I would like to also have a Fender Telecaster, a few Gibsons, a PRS, Music Man, Gretsch, Rickenbacker, Martin, Taylor, Larrivee... The list goes on and on.

Tossup between Gibson and PRS. Never have like the pencil neck Fenders too well.
I also have a '70 Epiphone acoustic rebuilt by John Bolin that puts every other brand to shame.
