1.0L 3-Cyl turbo that was in my Chevy Sprint. That car was a blast, and was way too easy to work on. Did three engine swaps in the damn thing haha. It was a gateway car into the modification scene for me.

    I'm liking the 4.0L V6. It could probably use a super-charger though.

Any air cooled Porsche flat 6....unless it happens to be leaking oil in my garage.

If we expand this beyond cars / trucks, then this: (Mercury 1650)

Buick 455. My father had an old LeSabre for towing the family trailer, and this was the car I first learned to drive. 350 HP from the factory. It was a beast.

Is there anything more bombproof than the 22RE?

3.0 SHO V6 in the old Taurus. Yamaha had their ducks in a row on that one. Teenage dream right there.

Then there was the V12 in the Diablo SE30... I mean, the car has a frickin' bull on the front! Who didn't have a poster of one of these in their bedroom? The guy that designed the Prius, that's who! You feel like your racing in park just sitting in the drivers seat. Let alone when it starts up, it just commands the attention of anyone in the area.

Nowadays, the supercharged 5.8 liter in the 2013-2014 GT500s. That engine is such a beast and it's very easy to get even more than the stock 660HP out of it. The supercharger sounds like a jet engine and the exhaust note is pure sex. 180MPH with that Porsche fading in your rearview? Yes please!
