Feel like I'm not playing fair.

I bought a case of 10 JP 90915-20004 filters for $160.00 shipped, a Fumoto valve for $24.00 shipped, and 6 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic for $25.00 for my Tacoma's first oil change. (I've had it since June and it just turned 1200 miles but I didn't have the heart to change the oil yet since it was still a nice golden honey color. The plan now is to wait until 2000 miles.)

This is why I feel like I'm not playing fair. My wife and I also have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee that came with 'free lifetime oil changes' as long as we got all of our scheduled maintenance done at the dealer. I've done every oil change in every car I have ever owned since the age of 15 but I know that we are not going to hang on to the Jeep for more than a few years (and I hate the piece of shit) so I caved. When my wife went in for an oil change at 7,000 miles and they gave her a bill for $57.00 to rotate the tires I told them to go screw themselves. I did my first oil change in the Jeep last weekend and paid $2.75 for the oil filter and $9.00 for 5 quarts of Quaker State. Does this make me an ass?
