Feeler: iKamper Roof Top Tent Discount

Been in the market for a new RTT and came across this pretty cool kickstarter for a new honeycomb aluminum shelled tent. The two links below do a great job of listing the benefits and special design so I won't get too detailed.

Anyways, I reached out to iKamper to see if they would offer a discount for larger orders. They said they will offer a $200 discount for orders of 5 or more. A buddy (@danielhfranks) and I plan to each order one this week and figure why not see if anyone else would be interested and get our order quantity to 5.

Ikamper said once we have the 5+ names they can email invoices to each of the people.

They are closing the preorder so we plan to order within the next week or so.

So what's the actual cost with the discounts? It's hard to determine with the preorder and 200 bucks off for TW

 

There are a ton of combination of items to purchase so it depends. Go to their main site and add your items to your cart. I plan to purchase the poly cotton canvas because of the durability and the state I live in. Then take off $200 to estimate the cost.

I'm lucky because I can pick it up but I believe shipping is some what pricey.

I dig...sho nuff. That is awesome! I'm pretty much in...just gotta change my priorities around a bit. I'm thinking poly cotton too...don't plan to be in AZ the rest of my years. Probably the annex too over the awning. Keep the toys under cover overnight and provide LOTS of shade, but the awning is huge and provides lots of cover too...hmmm.

 

Cool! Just need two more orders and we are good. Ikamper said they will keep the preorder period open until at least the end of the weekend.

Yeah all the accessory items are a must have. I still need to figure out which ladder size will work best with the Tacoma.

I'm planning on using the $200 off towards extra add ons. We do get the 4 color options though and winter insulation tabs for when they do create an inner insulation set up

 

Color options...I saw the two options for the shell. I guess I should pay more attention to the rest of it. Tabs...cool!

Very cool. Bummer Im shy on the $$ right now. I am going to have to keep a closer eye on kickstarter for cool items like this.

 

That's a really nice tent. I had my mind set on a cvt, but I might change my mind now. Has anyone received theirs yet?
