Fellow Limited owners. Are you ok that it isn’t a TRD OR/Pro?

I'm happy with my "geezer trim" 014 - have to be, I am one!

Not unhappy with the choice after 7 years, would have liked a rear locker tho'.

Get the Pro suspension upgrade and some more aggressive tires and call it a Limited Pro. Then you would have something no one else has. :D

Was just talking to my kid about the chrome on the air vents and such. Might be too much work.

Why worry over the chrome? Sounds like extra work...... I've had more than a few 4WD vehicles over the years and they mostly just scarred up nicely!

I would take comfort over anything else. You can add a locker, coilovers, tires and wheels and be in a better position than buying a Pro.

I know a guy in my hood that has a 392 Gladiator, ProRocks, 40’s and a laundry list of other items that has the cost up to 140,000.00 and won’t take it off-roading. Now that’s a waste…but he has the cash to burn. Sounds amazing though.

I get that the TRD trims are the 'sexy' ones in the lineup, but if you're honest with yourself and you've identified that heavy offroad use is not something you need... Why pay for that capability? Use that money for another hobby, or a nice vacation, or maybe some mods that you'd like for the truck.

Personally, I knew from the very start that the TRD Offroad had the capabilities I wanted, and I was able to identify that the Pro was just more bells and whistles than I need. No regrets on the purchase... Though I do flip flop constantly about access cab long bed versus double cab short bed...

You've got a beautiful truck that will last your lifetime if you take care of it, and it has all the creature comforts for the road (which is where 95% of my TRD lives anyway...) which will make every mile of ownership a pleasure. Be happy! You've still got one of the best trucks money can buy in today's market.

Nice play on words. A Pro that is limited or a Limited that is part Pro.

Take decals off and from the side most of the world has no idea the trim level anyway. Stop by a Nissan dealer and pick up some Pro-4X decals and freak out everyone.

The Limited is a great truck. I vote keep it for at least 3 years. Your factory warranty should cover you to 2025 (unless you are a high mileage driver). At that point, evaluate if the 4th Gen or electric Toyota truck is tempting.

so your truck isn't lacking anything, you're just worried other people feel you are (lacking) because of your choice of vehicle trim? damn, you really do want a lot from a truck.

i was originally shopping for a Sport and wanted LED headlights, leather seats & panoramic camera. with the way the market was at the time it simplified the purchase process tremendously to just buy a Limited, and the price was a wash. since no one else was paying for it, i figured i was the only one who cared what i bought. and i dig it.

I would not mind a Limited at all myself at times.
First things first, get some wheels and tires. This changes the look and attitude of every Tacoma, regardless if it’s an SR to a Limited.

Next change the grille to a 2020-2022 Off Road or Pro grille.

After that, sky’s the limit what you want or need to do.
