Fellow Limited owners. Are you ok that it isn’t a TRD OR/Pro?

it is the nightshade one so all the outside chrome is blacked out. Very sexy.

first thing I am doing is window tint on Monday and looking to get front and back dash cams installed.

for wheels/tires I think I want to lift it first to fit the bigger ones on. Don’t want to destroy my MPG.

for the pro grille can I still retain my camera and forward sensors?
Can’t give up the nice safety tech.

The Pro grill is overdone IMO. Your grill looks great and is unique.

I have emblem overlays and new black mirror caps.

Plan to install this summer when it warms up.

Also going to paint the fog light bezels and grille this summer.

Should take care of all the geezer chrome.

I also put a lift and tires on, the only thing I can see the pro would offer is the rear locker which I'll probably add when I regear.

I purchased a 21 nightshade limited and don’t feel worse off than my old OR. In my old truck I only used the locker once, and I probably would’ve been just fine using 4 lo. I just used the locker to make it easier. A lot of the features just make things easier for you, but with proper driving technique you can do anything a pro could do.

I personally don’t see a reason to change out the grill, but that’s just me. I debadged mine and threw on bigger tires and have been having fun with it. Next up will be a lift, but I’m debating on which one I’ll do.

it sounds like this is causing you some grief… Sorry about that.

But really you must’ve liked it enough at some point to purchase the thing.

and… who is viewing you??? And why do you care???

    - it is just a truck. None of it really matters.

Lol I fly my chrome flag proudly. Nobody else on the road seems to leave the chrome in place, it makes the truck feel different.

That's the beauty of a platform like the Tacoma, you can make it whatever you want.
    The aftermarket must be billions!
Look how many sites are just Tacoma parts.

The only thing I really dislike about the limited is the grille. I passed one the other day.

But if you want the comfort packages without the performance needs of a pro that's the way to go. I didn't want a sunroof or leather seats (specifically wanted against them) so for me the OR made sense.

Very nice! It definitely has a smoother appearance than my 18 Limited with chrome.

Oh hot damn, yeah that ain't no geezer truck, looks great! If it was white body with a bunch of chrome I'd feel differently.

Tbh the front lower air dam always makes the Tacomas look more car-like, so I would just remove that even though it'll hurt fuel economy a bit.

Tire to wheel ratio also contributes to 'aggressiveness' a lot, so if you swapped wheels over to some TRD OR wheels (could probably find a set for free from a guy that is "upgrading" his TRD) and slap some gnarly AT's on there it would look mean.

Yah so I have the white body with a whole bunch of chrome lol. It never felt like a “geezer truck” though. The Tacoma platform feels youthful to me no matter the trim. Besides I’m only 41, age is a state of mind.

    Stock and staying that way
In over 5 years of ownership I have never once regretted getting the Limited. I guess I am the “management guy” lol. My truck has been off-road a lot, but it is just flat dirt with small hills mostly. Nothing hardcore. It has only been stuck once. I was trying to do donuts in greasy slick mud. It was barely stuck and a Polaris side by side pulled me out.
