    yeah and the airbag would probably have gone off too if she was buckled.

    4.56 gears, rear trutrac,DT header, 235/85r16 Duratracs, 2nd filter pulled, inter.wipers, Cruise control, Factory alum. whls/winter tires(2nd set), Afe pro Dry-S , Dumbo eared flaps cut down.
    I did the chime mod. Learned to drive in 1984. Before the first year was over,my sister and I started wearing seat belts , no chimes back then, only need to hear and feel the solid click ofthe belt. If you wear your belt and do the mod there is no issue. I suspect a lot of people bypass it for all the wrong reasons.

    There was actually one year in the US that had a starter interlock on the driver's seat belt. I want to say 74, not sure. They are all long since bypassed I'm sure. It was just a one year thing.

    My habit is to get in, start truck, then put on seat belt. I can't stand beepers, so I unplugged mine. Now I don't hear the beep when I start the truck. I've disconnected every buzzer on every vehicle I've owned, I took the beeper out of my microwave oven too. To each his own, but it is always sad when someone dies this way.
