I'll be getting my fenders shortly, i refuse to rock the white fender look. My question is, paint em myself, or take them to a paint shop. Most likely Earl Shibe or something like that. Not lookin to spend a lot, but I want it to look good. I realize you get what you pay for, just lookin for opinions.

You did it all wrong... next time own a white truck and call it a day

But in reality, i have seen many members on here paint their own with great results. If you do it your self, it will not hurt as much when you scratch it when wheeling.

I vote paint shop if its a great price....under $250 for the fronts.

I paid $300 for a friend to do my fenders and bedsides.

If you DIY, the better results I've seen are with the silver color.

Don't mean to jack a thread, but I was wondering if any of the fiber glass rear panels can still accept a fiberglas cap? I am interested in getting fiberglass for mine but I do use a cap on my truck when we take vacations and it would be a hefty purchase if the cap no longer worked. Sorry to mention this is a question regarding the 2nd gen tacos.

For a truck that is going to spend 90% of it time on roads it should be done nice of you can afford it. With tax money in having all my glass professionally fitted and painted.

Or you cold just spray paint the whole truck white to match? Just joking.
Being it silver is a harder color to rattle can but.....I don't know the other silver trucks in this thread I gotta say do damn look good for DIY so that got my vote!

My vote is to get it done professionally at a shop (because I have a mall crawler)
If you wheel a lot and know it will be scratched and otherwise damaged then a $30 rattlecan job is all you need - which sounds like it is the way you are planning on going anyway.

I believe it can be done but would require some fab work to support the cab. From what I understand you would need to build a frame to support the cab since the fenders alone won't.
