Have a cap on my truck and one of the uses is for camping.

I've noticed at the tailgate/ bed there are gaps. Driving down dusty roads and I get quite a bit of dirt/dust drifting into the bed area.

I'm thinking adding some rubber seals and wondering if anybody else has addressed this problem?

    Thanks.

Attempted to seal the tailgate against dust. I used these 2 things, hasn't been long enough to know if they work well/stay applied.
edit, 3 months in , so far so good. the top portion of the seal where it "folds over" a bend has come unstuck, but that's all.

Thanks for the suggestion IronPeak. Just ordered the tailgate seal. I'm also going to use it instead of the Rok Block as I don't think I want to "attach" the tailgate to the truck.

Regular old foam weatherstrip(adhesive on one side) works fine and costs <$10 a roll. I replace it every two or three years if I feel like it. You generally want the thinner(aprox 3/8" width) to help go up the side of the bed/tailgate and at least 1/2" height.

Installed the tailgate seal and looks like it will work out well. Wonder about the "stick on" aspect, if it shows any sign of peeling I'll use silicone to reattach.

I removed the tailgate to make installation easier and I had a little problem re-installing the wiring for the back-up camera. Just kept working and wiggling to get the plastic bracket behind the seal and it worked.
