Forest Route 6N16 off of goodenough road is a 10mile in and 10 mile out road. The beginning is paved, however it shortly becomes dirt. 2WD is fine however there are a couple sections that branch off the route where a technical route can be taken up a hill. I did it in 4hi. There is also another section right passed that where you can maneuver a berm and more. The end of the route goes to Dough Flats Trailhead.

If you are local, go out and enjoy it. I personally wouldn’t recommend for someone to travel just to take the trail.

I've been here for some light off roading but I've been really trying to find where Tar creek waterfall is back there.

Tar Creek Falls shows up on Google Maps. Tar Creek runs into Sespe Creek on the map. Plenty of pics of people at what I am sure are the falls. Not sure the Google pinpoint designates the placement of the falls or if it's the creek.

To add to the intrigue there is a pic of a large Los Padres NF steel sign that designates Tar Creek Falls and the Sespe Creek Condor Sanctuary as "Closed to Entry". Yet if you look up Sespe Condor Sanctuary on Google Maps you can see pics of trails and more falls.

Haven't been there, was just bored and looked it up. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, I'm going to look into that a bit more. Not too far from here, besides Santa Barbara I think that is one of the few existing options to get some dirt time in.

It was pretty much flat so it’s fast. But I haven’t been since I posed this thread and the recent storms could have created ruts but idk.

That’s awesome! I’m in north-east LA like Arcadia. Think it’s worth a 30-50min drive or wait it out till I’m around the area?

    hard to find?
