Had mine done yesterday. I guess I posted it in the other thread, but it's totally underwhelming. I could barely tell anything was done on the way home.

Had it done at the dealer yesterday during my 25k service.

All i had to do is ask the guy to update the ECU... didn't even have to show tsb or anything like that.

Truck drives like a whole different truck.

    smooth shifting
    no lag
    no surging.

    big difference here.

I did notice that when i was going down a big hill, i coasted and it downshifted.... almost like it was trying to engine brake....thought it was a little weird but the pluses outweigh the minuses here.

I haven't gotten anything nearly this impressive, but I feel like the mileage is up slightly. I do know my truck likes to spin the tires now so the much better throttle response is enough for me.

I just looked at my receipt. It says ‘26474 performed ECU update for transmission feel enhancement,TSB-4419’.

Had mine updated about two weeks ago and was really underwhelmed. I would say it's about 50% ish better. I'm really surprised by all the "this fixed my truck" comments because the shifting is still shitty on my truck!
The update is definitely not as good as my shift sense pro is so I plugged the shift sense back in and I'm happy again. In hind site I kinda wish I had gotten a Tundra...
Maybe it's time for OV Tune?

I suspect most of the variation in comments is related to stock vs not stock tire sizes.

Could be. I'm on 285's. It's better just not "fixed"

I'm not super impressed. Around town is noticeability better. I just drove 200 miles on the interstate and same old. Some areas great, other shifting like crazy

Well, I think the mph app is wonky. I just drove 2 blocks from the store, barely used gas and got 8mpg. lmao!

I went into my local dealer today for my 15k service and to see if they would do the TSB update on my Tacoma. I have a 2017 6sp/MT .

The note on my work order says they "performed a "health check" and found calibration for engine ECU available, performed newest calibration update and engine ECU reflash for customer satisfaction purposes."

    The OP CODE: EG1812 T1-04 T2-74
    TSB012518

Not sure if this information helps anyone or if this is even the correct TSB.

I think an auto parts store will let you use their reader for free if you just want to see your cal ID.

Tried reading all of this thread but gave up. Is there a reflash for a 2016 try off road with a manual transmission?

Same here. For my truck that provides the night and day difference I'm looking for.

Yeah looks like it. I wasn't experiencing any of those issues listed in that TSB, but I guess it is the only one they found to have the Manual as part of the update. So far I haven't noticed any changes with the truck.

I took a long trip today. For some of the trip, and that was most of it, it shifted normally and didn't downshift at weird places too much. Other times, the damn thing just fought the stupid gas pedal! I don't understand what makes it normal one minute and ornery as a mule the next. I guess it depends on whether or not I am going uphill?

It was a good drive overall,, and I do love the mpg increase.
