After having the update done, when you step on the pedal does it hesitate and then go or is it a fairly smooth acceleration?

2018 Tacoma xp off-road. Just had the transmission flash performed at dealer. If you haven’t, do this now. Noticeable difference.

Get tsb-58. Not a total fix but it's better.

I use OVtune so I' check all my stuff with either his software or Techstream. I've never tried with a scanner so I don't know if there is a way or not but I seem to remember people discussing it somewhere either on this thread or one of the other threads about the TSB.

I've had intermediate stumbles at times that could have been dangerous, Last year I ask my dealer, they couldn't duplicate it.
I will try to get them to update my ECU now.

Organize a big ass meet on their door step at the Plano, Texas headquarters. Then call the media. Then get on social media...

What did you guys tell the dealership when you took it in to be serviced? I'm taking mine in tomorrow. I bought my 2016 Tacoma used and have 59000 miles on it. Will the update still be covered if my truck is lifted 3 inches and slightly bigger tires? I just dont want to go through some BS and them trying to charge me for something I shouldn't be charged for. I literally bought the truck less than 1 month before they released the update.

My truck is definitly gear hunting. Seems to struggle with switch gears between 5th and 6th. RPM's will stay between 3000 to 3500, so I would have to let off the throttle and bring down the speed and RPM down and slowly accelerate again, then it will switch gears. Happens when I accelerate fast, also noticed that throttle response is not that great either there's some lag to it.

What updates are there? I'm starting to get confused. I thought I only needed the TSB 0062-18 update. Are there multiple ones I have to let them know about. If so could you please list them out? I would definitly rather have them install it all on the same day. Trying to prepare myself for the appointment so it seems like I sound like I know what I'm doing. Not a mechanic, so I dont want them to see that and try to charge me for everything.

I went in to make an appointment in person the other day and all I said was it’s shifting at the wrong times. I gave tte guy at the counter the three TS-B numbers (58, 62, and 125) and he said “oh yeah I know what you’re talking about, we’ve been getting a bunch of these in recently, they’ll reprogram it and I t’ll take about 30 minutes”. I said cool, see you on November 10.
