Considering LiFePO4 are about $1000 for 100 Ah, generally upgrading the charge controller is a small portion of the overall expense. Also, consider a charging system that includes temperature monitors to prevent charging in below freezing conditions.

Maybe a better interior setup compared to our 2015 RP178 Hood River. A real shower is a big deal but the huge U-dinette in the 178 was a nice feature.

Buying travel trailers is a dark hole. I bet 90% of people on this board that bragged about their trailer new have moved on from it within two years.

Second trip with new trailer and second time through southern cal. Have you guys noticed how much harsher the bumps are with cruise control on? I shut it off when I see one coming, but of course miss a few. I think the CC is trying to recover the speed lost from the bump and really loads up the chassis (throttle opening, little rear end squat, big tension on the ball) just as the trailer axle hits the bump. When I get the CC flicked off I get more bounce, wander, roll, but that seems better the hard jolt I get with the CC on.

Note: the 2 slow lanes in southern cal are so bad that we often need to run around 57-58 mph.

Good looking set-up, we have a Hood River 178 and love it, ours is 3200 lbs. ready to camp. I have looked at the bigger R Pods, but I have a 08 Tacoma V6 that we camp up in the mtns all the time and it just does ok up the hills I am not sure it would like 4460 lbs. of the new 192. Have you gone over and big hills? I also had to reinforce the R Pod axle.

That's a nice looking setup. We have the 192 and we shift down to 3rd and run 45 to 50 over the steepest hills.

Have you added the Furrion camera system yet? I'm curious what the view is like with it. I'm looking at a Rpod 193 and figured I'd need to get towing mirrors but it looks like you don't use them.

What hitch are you using? I've seen a few other reports of the yaw sensor issue and it has me a little concerned. It seems to be related to the WD hitch and how much weight is transferred to the front axle. One person mentioned that they were able to reset it themselves with a scan tool, which is good.

I'm also in western Washington, how does it do on the passes?

Eqaul-I-zer it drags a square bar along a square retainer for sway control. Dealer told me that yaw sensor was out of adjustment, I took that to mean it had physically moved. Made sense to me... Maybe it was a software ware reset type of fix.

Here's another thread where someone had that issue. Also using the Equal-i-zer hitch, though that might be a coincidence.

Not Sim. To my experience. 1 error after 1500 mile. None since after additional 3300 mile. Dealer asked if I had hit big bump? I had, LA has bad roads.

Nice setup! I worked at a RV dealership for a few years, boy did we see a lot of people needing replacement batteries/propane tanks because they were stolen when they parked it in their storage yard. I'd lock those puppies up good. Enjoy the RV world its fun!

I also have a 2020 OR AT, looking at this exact model of camper. A couple of questions: Did you add a transmission cooler? Before adding your rear camera system, did it tow ok with the stock mirrors? TIA.

How has the eaz lift WDH held up towing? I just bought the same one. Do you use a sway controller? Or is the WDH enough on its own? I’m picking up my new camper in a few weeks. 2021 Gulf Stream vintage cruiser 19erd. It’s just over 3000lbs dry.

I would recommend a hitch that does both, weight distribution and sway control. If you plan to be on the interstate with semis and wind, get sway control.
Don't do one of those friction bars.

Yeah, I can imagine getting pushed around would be a little uncomfortable. I guess the hitch I bought has integrated sway control. So hopefully I shouldn’t have any worries. Except getting up hills. I think instead of buying a bigger truck I’ll get a magnusen supercharger. More HP and torque:benchpress:

It's been a hot minute since I've been on TW... We bought a farm and the travel trailer is now both our vacation get-away and farm guest house. Plus it's nice to have the solar+battery+redundant system sitting on property. Added bonus to the property was the trailer pad with full hookups (needs a bit of repair).
