Well, they do sell them like that, they call it a front "boot". Just a rubber piece that goes up against the cab. Maybe good for some people, but since I mainly use my truck for the woods, the cab/bed flex doesnt allow it to stay sealed. Not to mention screwing up the cab paint big time.

A few pics of the roof rack. May not be as pretty as the ones they sell, but very functional! I plan to have it Line-x'd at some point. For now flat rattle can black will have to do.

Oh yeah...i really can't live without one....5-8 day hunting trips warrant the rack FO SHO. This truck is not a daily driver. I don't think it will be that noisy since it's not attached to cab. If it is, I'll buy some dark tinted plexiglass and fab up a wind deflector for the leading edge.

Really appreciate all the comment guys! It really is like a different truck. Lets see more pics of all your guys shells

This. The top of my tailgate is worn down to the primer in spots. Not a big deal since I'll have my bed Line-X'ed at some point.

I agree, toppers are great, extremely convenient especially in the winter time. I just got a Yakima roof basket to go on top of it too.
