    I mean… it’s a Ford, you don’t care
I’m also about to pull the trigger on a 4R. If I can close on the house I’m selling on time (this week) I’ll probably grab it later in the week. The one I’m looking at is a silver 2017 SR5 premium. It’ll be my wife’s car, until she’s sick of it, then I may have to inherit it:fingerscrossed::rofl:

:boink: :crapstorm: Just saying, the 4Runners I wanted were/are 4th Gen 4.7l Limited 4WD's. '05-'09 seemed the best, vvt-I for the 4.7, 5-spd AT. '08 got the handy 'VSC Off' button, nice feature.

4.7l gets you full-time 4WD with CDL, the full Toyota ClassIV tow package (ClassIV hitch, 7-pin, external trans cooler, 180A alternator, 7k lb tow capacity).

My 08 Tacoma has been good to me over the past 11 years. I guess I'll get to see how much better T4R is. Picking up a 19 OR Premium Saturday. Doesn't have KDSS though. Maybe with the right suspension, won't need the sway bars. I don't have one on my Tacoma.

I still have my 13' Tacoma and it's mostly for work and mild off roading. The 4Runner is mostly for off roading and camping. I have Kings for the Tacoma so naturally Kings are going on to the 4Runner

Even though our 4Runner is the family (wife’s) car I take it when I can lol. My wife’s a good sport about it. My truck is strictly the beach truck for sure. Cleaned about a pound of sand out of it yesterday.

I traded the Tacoma for the 4Runner. I'm going to miss the 6spd a lot.

You won't miss it that long, the only thing I miss when I drive the 4Runner is the bed. Other then that it's everything the Tacoma is just better

How's the ground clearance on the 4Runner compared to the Tacoma?

Different, low hanging fruit get a tank skid and if you have the TRD skid an extension for it. Departure angles are different as well gotta worry about smacking your butt on the ground when at a incline. Just some stuff i've figured out through experience and other members.

You lose a little inches if you have KDSS. It's not bad for stock. I can still crawl under it up to the engine oil pan. The gas tank does hang a little low. It blows the Tacoma out of water when it comes to approach and departure angles.

So far I really like it. Only thing I wish I could change is the dash lightning from blue to orange (or any other color)

    When were you up there?

I was just out that way...yesterday and the day before.

I was out there Saturday til Tuesday. Then headed up to Gardnerville, Carson City, and Reno. I stayed in Mammoth Lakes when I visited Yosemite. I hiked up to Glacier Point. It wasn't crowded but plenty of eye candy to look at

I want to climb the cable side on Half Dome.... on my bucket list :fingerscrossed:
