I am close to 300 lbs...
I jumped up and down on them and all it did was rock the truck back & forth.

They only took an hour to install and it was easy to do by myself.
I think I said it in a diff thread but according to the guy at 4wheelparts they have the same thickness of stainless steel that the Westins have that generally run close to $400.

Thats a clean install. I wouldn't mind putting some of those on my PreRunner, but I think it would have to be an inch or 2 taller before I would put some on. Very nice though.

They look good. I just want to clarify something since I'm new to Toys and want to get one for camping and off roading.

Is this the same as trail armor. What I want to know is, is this capable of taking a hit from going over rocks or is this a super industrial strength step?

While sturdy as hell I think that what you are probably looking for are called "rock sliders"

    Rock knockers

    Warn rock sliders

They would suit me better if the truck was an inch or two taller. However with my girlfriend being 5 inches shorter, mom being 4 inches shorter, and most of my coworkers/friends being shorter I went ahead and got them after 2-3 people damn near fell getting out of the truck.

thanks...i gladly stole the idea from pb2...he's done it all...but the alliance is pretty much any carolina member or even outside the SC/NC area that like to hate on texans, drink beer, and agree to go to the carolina meet/s that we agree on having. currently we plan on going to uwharrie in april and camping out for the weekend and trailriding, fishing, etc...its good to join if even to just hate on the texans

Sounds interesting. Shame it is Uwharrie. South Mountain or Stone Mountain are where you will find me that time of the year. You have to be in the mountains at the peak of trout fly fishing season.

But, considering how much I hate the Cowboys... The Texans (especially since they gave us a Carr that sucks). I do love beer... But then again, I do wear a Stetson and Resistol hats. So conflicting...

If you hate the cowboys and like beer thats reason enough to join. We can overlook the stetson...

Don't do it! Your IQ will drop by 50 points at least just by having "Carolina Alliance" in your title. Texans drink beer and wear hats.
