    Hey guys. I'm looking to upgrade my sound system and I'm trying to figure out my options for the sub. I'd like to run 1 12 inch but I'm not exactly sure how it's gonna fit or where it's gonna go. The most obvious and probably only choice I have is to squeeze it in the Xtra Cab space. I'm curious as to what setups others have run. How did you fit a box back there? Pictures would be amazing. Really any pictures of the sub+box in the Xtra cab would be greatly appreciated and really help me on how to configure mine. Thanks in advance.

    mine is somewhat similar to that but im running a Sundown sa-8 in it but im sure you could tweak the box design a bit to make a 10 or 12 fit...and you can see the L7 12 that was originally there behind my driver seat, ive also had another fiberglass box i made in the same spot as the L7 but i gave it to another member here (trd7) is his name if you wanna see pics of it cause i dont have any but htis is my most recent setup:

    genius! thats exactly what i want to do with mine. I was trying to figure out a way to keep the 10 and both seats but i didnt think i could make a box that fit, but it looks like yours is perfect. Im almost positive now im going to do the same thing just not have it stick out so far. How did you anchor it down besides just cut it out right and stick it under the back cushion?

    wait did you have to cut into the metal to fit the 10's on the passenger side? i measured and its almost 2" too small...or did i just derp up measuring.

    I made it so the sides have to kind of push the jump seats a little and it holds itself in there and to put it in you have to fold one of the seats up and then slide the box in at an angle...and im actually goign to re-build another one that sits much lower but the seats still fold up and down front and rear and teh center console still has room to fold up and down. Down the road i think ill do like Jberry and put mine in the cubbies under teh jump seats...I just dont feel like tearing everything apart to seal everythign under there off right now.

    does your box shift around alot when off roading?
    im torn between doing a box like yours and trying to mount them in the cubby, im just not sure exctly how to fit it in the cubby.

    No when the seats are folded down beside it you can see where the seats are being forced against it...i think the gap between them is 6" and i cut it 6 1/2 to make it a tight fit...but as for actuall use, ive never had a speaker in it yet since im still trying to sell the L7 to get the Sundown...but the seatbelts are there still so if i have to ill just use that somehow or use that metal child seat thing to hold it in place but i dont think it will move at all..ill keep this thread updated when i make the other one thats a bit smaller

    I never did a write up. The part I linked above is all I really have in my build about it. It was a really small notch though. Small enough that if I reversed it, the the cubby hole cover would still fit.
