What vent? If your referring to the cab vent there isnt one for the double cabs. Really high pressure with all windows up!! If you meant for the box, its a sealed box built to spec by Mr Marv (great guy)!!:D

I used an auto-EQ that Killer let me borrow (another great guy). It made a huge difference but I still have a date with Mr Marv for more tuning!! Definitely the best system I have ever heard that wasnt pro! The rest is Pioneer AVH 4200, HAT Imagine 6.5 x4 for the doors and pioneer amps. :D

Kind of silly you just made a double cab a two seater for the purpose of more bass.

Are you serious? He had the rear seats out for the install.. I'm sure he will be re-installing them now that he has taken pictures of the set up

All he did was remove the plastic "shelf" things behind the rear seats to make room for the sub and amps. OP you should post pics of the seats installed and folded down also.

Okay that makes sense, it does look like it is pretty deep.

My understanding is that a sealed box limits the movement of the speaker and that a vent also allows for more free flowing sound, but hey, I haven't cared about sound systems since I was 18 and who the hell know what has changed since then. Enjoy your system bro!

Actually depends on what you want out of your system. I wanted the SQ or "better sound" versus the bass. It still hits very hard for a single ten though!!

Actually it fits just fine. Seats are installed and fold all the way down and up just as before. Only thing is I cant fold the seats flat down with the sub on due to sub excursion. But that is as easy as hitting a button on the head unit.

Thanks for all the positive comments. Keep em comin

The Port (vent) gives a booming bass like you would want with rap music. It typically requires a bigger box to get the sound correct.

The SQ guys like the sealed box because it gives a tight crisp bass sound. It is also easier to fit into tight spaces because it doesn't require as big of a box.

Exactly, I listen to ALL types of music, not just rap and want my system to sound good all the time not just with rap playing!!

How long did the install take you? Mr. Marv is building me a box as well ^^ I think the only thing that will take some time is running the wires to the doors...in his guide I still can't quite visualize what's going on so we'll see when the install happens.

Very nice. I like, and prefer, how the sub is centered so that the passengers don't get a direct back rub, 'less your in the middle anyway.

I was wondering though how you attached the carpeting to the cab section between the window and the box? Just glue it, or something else?
