Saint John NB,L771,IAFF......In January I have 21 years complete.I worked for seven years on our Heavy Rescue,or the "squad".I'm now assigned to a fairly busy Engine Co.in the Eastern end of our City. We've got around 200 guys(and 3 girls) and I've loved every minute of it.I'm currently a First Class FF,and am 6 away for writing my Lt. exams.

Thanks.....as far as the foam is concerned,we don't usually use it for structural FFing. There was some experimentation taking place that day when the building was declared lost.

We just watched a couple videos on 9/11 at work, we do every year. One of the videos was the one that the two brothers were filming the documentary on the "probie" and everytime I watch it I gain a new found respect for what those guys went through. I couldnt imagine what your brother went through, but I can only imagine what you guys had to go through waiting to find out about him. That is awesome that he made it through. I can almost garauntee that all 343 of them would do the exact same thing over again if they had to. Your brother IS a true hero.

Foam for house. Thats alot of money for a house fire AFFF isnt cheap. Not tring to knock just dont see the benefit for using it on ordinary combustibles.
