I've got my firestone kit all installed guys.
Took about 4 hours, air tools help

Driver side was a little more tough with less room cause of gas tank.

I did install the additional bracket for my lift height and. Totally understand why they want them, being the bags sit offset to the inside the additional bracket carries the load down to the axel.

So heavy loads will be more secure by resting on something solid while going down the road.

Thanks for the insight and help.

Be it water or air, a load shifting will not force air pressure to the side with less weight if you have a single line set up. It is simple physics! Yes, air will transfer from the loaded side to the side with less load, but the internal pressure will remain constant everywhere within the system. The actual air pressure in both the compressed bag and the extended bag will be exactly the same. The result is that you have a constant rate spring with each side having the same load carrying capacity. Not looking to get into a pissing contest, but if you are going load one side of your truck with 500 lbs more that the other, than separate fill valve will allow you to compensate. If you are towing a trailer where the weight is centered or equalized on the hitch or equally distributed in the bed of the truck, a tee or equalizing valve will suffice. Firestone and air ride sell tees for their systems.

Look into ride rite bracket 2507. Because your inner bracket should be resting on the axel, if it's not the 2507 bracket extends down to the axel to create a more ridged set up.
Honestly any plate steel 3/16 thick or thicker drilled to match kit bracket cut to length will work.

rear axle airbags are awesome if you carry any decent weight. I've had mine for 70K miles - worthy investment.

Nope I think 2507 is correct, there are a number of brackets depending on lift height. The 2507 was for my 2 in block added height.

ok...I looked up the bracket you describe, but I could not find it anywhere. The set up I have is P/N 2407, I guess there is an additional bracket of 2507 that I may need?...I will need to look further into this

yes it is, my airbag kit was the 2407, the brackets 2507 but I actually got a deal on the 2510 brackets for a much higher lift and cut them down to size and saved 25.00.

it was ebay for me, a local Michigan dealer "madcheetah" always has deals but you have to catch him at the right time. I'm patient and cheap so I watch him like a hawk for deals.

Could you post a pic of how this bracket is used. I'm wondering it I could use this for a ubolt flip w a daystar cradle.

    Thanks,

Not really. Fill 2 balloons half with air and connect them with a straw, squeeze one balloon flat, the other one will fill fully. Then let off the other one and the pressure in each will equalize. It's best to isolate the bags air lines.

Daystar cradles work well with lifts (longer shocks than stock). Your downward axle travel is not limited by the bag being stretched to its limit and acting like an axle limit strap.

Hey Alvin no pics but you bolt the brackets to the inside mount bracket that the airbag sits.

Then the brackets you are adding reach down to the axel and rest on it so when you ad air and load to the system the bracket rest on the axel for strength.
Without that bracket and any rear lift the actual air bag bracket will not reach the a El for strength.
