so Friday night the planets moons and stars all aligned for me. It's not that big, maybe 100lbs, not a trophy to many, but a trophy to me. The rage broadhead did the trick, I hit him in the femoral artery, there was a blood trail even a blind man could follow. It was like someone splattered paint all over the woods.

lol funny story.. I was on a doe only hunt last year to help manage someones hunting land. Noticed this doe running all around my stand. After about an hour and a half of watching I took a 60 yard shot with my rifle (300 mag) and it ran to my stand then died. Being the only one of the group that had a kill for the trip, I climb down to marvel at my trophy...as Im checking out the entry and exit holes my new cannon had made, I thought "thats odd...this doe has balls.." turns out it was about a year old spike..ooops. still tasted great though.

to be honest with you, where I aimed and where I hit were two different things:eek: I knew I hit "it" because at the time, the light was low and I couldn't see exactly what I was shooting. The deer just stood there and ate, could have easily looked up at me and ran off.....like I said, I got lucky, because the shot wasn't that good, but hit in the right spot. I found the arrow right away, total passthru covered in blood. The blood trail was very easy to follow, which was good. In all honesty, I didn't wait the alloted half an hour, I got down, went to the truck, got my buddy, and it might have taken 15 minutes total to track, not my IMO.

bowtech equalizer, short axle to axle, 60 lbs. apparently plenty of stopping power.
