Pulling out of my driveway this morning I didn't even make it twenty feet when a 2005 CRV came out of the corner tires screeching and mangled the fender. Suspension needs work for sure. Frame looks okay. Miraculously, I think the hood and passenger door are both unscathed. Anybody have similar damage know how long it might take to fix?

Yes, I live in the blue house behind the cars. Can't make this up. Wish the other driver hit the frame rotted first gen instead.

Not too bad at all. bumper, fender, headlight, and probably some upper frame rail/core support work. Im guessing around 8k if it has upper rail/core support damage.

That sux... but my money is on that hood not being unscathed.

What the hell was that CRV thinking?

Edit: It also looks like your truck starts crying after the impact.

I think the damage looks great!

Do you take video every time.you drive?

I doubt the hood is ok, they dont make them like they used to. We used them for sleds back in my day.

Oof. Truck's not the only one crying.

I think you guys might be right about the hood and other things that don't appear obviously dented. I won't know until somebody takes a look at it. Definitely fixable though since it still starts, bags didn't deploy and we didn't spill any fluids.

Just trying to get some advice from the forum (maybe some ways to upgrade the bumper through the repair process?) and to encourage everybody on here to get a dash cam. It's by far the best mod I've done and it just saved me a ton of explaining to the first responders and insurance companies.

Yeah man, it's not my first rodeo. New Jersey is so packed, I encounter close calls on a regular basis. Here's one from two weeks ago.

Most aftermarket bumpers require at least some of the plastic front bumper (usually the sides under the headlight thats damaged on yours) There are some that replace the whole front bumper, but IMO they look terrible.

I guess the GPS said "Turn Right" and that's what she did. Just forgot the brakes! Glad everyone is okay.

I see stuff like that all the time, but it's usually some guy trying to recreate a scene from The Fast and Furious.

Interesting. Unfortunately we missed the deadline to get it warranty replaced by Toyota. I'll keep my eyes peeled!

    Good eye, friend! Спасибо!

There is a recall on the frame for some 16-17's, but I can't think of a single post where someone showed any actual rot. Surface rust sure, but not rot. Not split in 2 on a lift rot. That's still a first and second gen thing.

That escalated quickly.... was she atleast hot? And if so did you get her number?

If the fender kissed the hood they will probably repaint the hood. Also might have to do some blending, which might require some paintwork to the doors. Not really sure though. Talk to a body shop they will tell you everything you need to know.

I recently noticed some rust on my '17 which seems crazy considering I live in NV, is there a TSB?

Yes, but you typically have to live in the rust belt. I got one, but I live in Ohio.

Surface rust is no biggie, just brush it off and repaint it.
