So, if you want to get an aftermarket bumper you need to figure out what you want yesterday. Many fab shops are shipping in 2-6 weeks. Finding a bumper you like that is also in stock and ready to ship is a challenge. Quick turnaround time on a daily driver is usually important and insurance isn't going to have you in a rental while your custom bumper is made.

Depending on your bumper selection you can talk to the body shop your working with. You will probably need pieces of a stock bumper to make things work. You'll need to find a friendly shop that wants to work with you and insurance.

    Sorry for the headache.

I've got one (not an arb) that requires none of the stock bumper.
Dont think arb needs it either.

Yeah, but as I said, I dont think they look good. I just hate how it doesnt sit flush at the fender line.

This is the part I hate on them... why couldnt they just make it sit flat, there is like a 1 inch step between the fender and the bumpers.
I see zero reason they need that step out, its not a structural part. Thats why I like the "slim line" bumpers, it just replaces the actual impact area and keeps the smooth body lines.

That extra bit along the headlight and fender line protect that stupid protruding headlight.

Yo, this is what I wanted to discuss. And you're absolutely correct. It's very often I see people suggesting "Dang, someone backed into you, now you can toss the stock bumper and replace it with an RCI monster and a winch."

But in reality it's not as feasible especially if you're not at fault and you're not fixing it yourself.

The cheapest one on Amazon, haha. Specifically, the YI Smart Dash Cam. Set it and forget it. Don't bother with getting a big memory card. And the GoPro mount is the best place for it.

I'll ask my body shop. I need a new passenger light at least.

Thanks again guys, be safe out there. If you've learned anything from this post, it's that the dash cam should be your first purchase on the truck.
