Glad you're okay. While you're at it, send the clip to those crash compilation youtube channels like DDS TV.

I just watched the video of the install and it appears it comes with the mount with 3m tape and some form of memory card. Im curious how he tucked the micro usb cord that has to be plugged in.

Yep, the YI camera comes with a 3M adhesive button and mount. Disassemble the one that comes with the camera and morph it with the modified GoPro mount.

Cable is routed through the gap in headliner, down the A pillar, behind the glove compartment and wherever it is you get your power from. You can use the cigarette lighter with a USB adapter like I do or hard wire it in behind your radio like I will be doing the next time I take apart my dash.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner, folks. Good estimate.

Just spoke to my body shop and did a walkthrough over facetime. The damage comes out to a hair over $8k.
They are saving the passenger side door and hood, but upper rail is being cut out and replaced with a new weld-in. The laser measurements showed no damage to the frame which is a huge relief for me.
The suspension is getting replaced entirely including hub, knuckle, strut, both control arms and even the bearing (just in case). The brakes appear untouched. Tire got a tiny knick in the sidewall so they're installing a new one, but I'll be keeping the take-off to swap with the spare or something.

All new parts will be OEM straight from Toyota. In the meantime I'm driving a Tahoe and I hate it. Thanks for sticking around, everyone. I'll do one last update when she's fixed.

YAY! Glad they are getting it taken care of.

I went to school for autobody and worked at a body shop for a number of years.

Read in another thread there is a power source in the roof console where the map lights are. Trying to pin-point exactly which connector...

The best car I ever owned was totaled by an idiot running a red light. I was nice to him just like OP, but when the cop came, he lied to her and claimed I ran a red light. By that time any witnesses were long gone. I looked him up on CAP afterwards and he had a long record including drink driving, battery, resisting arrest. Gotta love it. Cop didn't issue anyone a ticket because she didn't have proof either way, but she told me she believed me. So much for my old Jag. :(

How do you wire that in? I have a '15 Gen 2 and my windshield looks a bit different.

She's back and looking good as new! The shop did a fantastic job and it drives well.

A few things I noticed post repair:
Steering feels tight. Might just be in my head, but I'm hoping that the rack and pinion isn't bent/damaged.
Also the wheel that was hit does have a quarter inch larger distance from the plastic fender compared to the undamaged wheel. I'll never be able to tell if the suspension is sitting further back or if the plastic is further up front.
This weekend I'm planning on getting underneath and looking at the rack and pinion bushings. And performing an oil change and a diff fluid change for my own peace of mind.

Do you have a warranty on the repairs? If so, take it back to note the steering issue. If they inspect it and say it is fine, have them document it just incase something crops up down the road.

Keep a close eye on how your front tires wear. If there is an issue with your front end it should show on the tires pretty quickly.

That is true, but it will take longer to become evident than the shop would likely accept responsibility for. I just think that it would be a risky move to wait and not notify the shop or insurance of something that feels different, esp as the Toyota warranty may deny an issue because of the collision also.

    Glad she's back.

On a interesting note, I was watching one of those dashcam accident videos on YT with my kid and saw your video. My wife couldn't understand my excitement.
