first gen fog light HELP

on my 2000 tacoma i had 2 piaa 520 fog lights mounted on the bumper that worked okay but i really think fog lights should be mounted lower for best results. does anybody have any recommendations as to where they mounted fogs on their first gen and what brand/light they are using. Pics would be appreciated as well. And no i am not looking to convert my turn signals to fogs. thanks guys.
