So I don't like how long the shift lever in our first gens are especially after having to drive my friends car home from Country Jam after his drinks haha. (Cavalier 5sp.) I kinda like the short shifters in the cars and second gens. Feels smoother.

Is there any way that you can make it like the 2nd gens like this?

I heard they are rough and hard to get in gear for the first 5000 then are real nice.

I don't even care about the performance increases I just like how the shifters in the 2nd gens are haha

When you say you want pictures because you want a short shifter; do you want a short throw shifter or just a shorter shifter? From what I've read a short throw shifter puts more strain on the transmission, but a shorter shifter-just cut and weld the existing shift lever.

This^ I was just doing some searching and yes I found the short shifter kits refer to the throw length,,, I just want the shorter actual length of the shifter haha I am not racing so I don't care about the throw length, Thanks for clarifying. I was about to post this.

Does anyone make a replacement shorter "rod " that I would just replace?
    Id prefer not to cut
