I have a set of all clear tail lights that I don't want to get stolen. Here in Hawaii, everyone goes crazy for them and they are very easy to steal. Does anyone know where I can get security torx screws or the sizes for it? Thank you

Remove a screw go to your local hardware supplier match up something you like.

Remember you might need to change bulbs before you sell the truck so make sure you can remove what you decide on

    welcome to TW

I had ordered a set of screws specifically for the Tacoma from someone YEARS ago (no clue who/when)

The only other problem is, if someone has the security bit they can remove it just as easy. It's not like a wheel lug lock nut, they are pretty standard

The tail lights do not pass vehicle inspection but I just simply switch it back to the stock lenses.

I have Red & Clear with orange bulbs. You "have" to have the red part and the reflector on the bottom outside has to be red to pass.

at least switching lenses is easy enough

Huh, I just don’t see where he asked if he had permission to run clear lenses.

Let me get this straight- folks in Hawaii have island fever so bad that they take peoples tail lights?

Sounds like you should just run stock ones and not worry about that shit.

    This is not wrong.

And actually, you could tape off the existing screw heads and fill them with a dab of bondo and paint them silver afterwards. Of course, to remove them yourself, you'd have to use a drill and carefully drill the head off.
