    Hey all! First post.

I'm pushing 40 and this is my very first brand new car. I've owned three in my life (a Ford Pinto, a Mercury LN7, and an S-10. After having a pickup I decided that I'd never go back, and to me an extended cab is a no-brainer. I've been looking at the Tacomas for years and have always loved the styling and reputation, so for the past six months my wife and I have been looking at the 09 Tacomas and making our final decision. Pulled the trigger two days ago and brought it home in all of its SuperWhite glory. I still can't go out to the parking lot or driveway and not thing "*WOW*, I OWN THAT!" It's a great feeling.

I've already learned several things about maintenance just from lurking on the site here, in particular, how to change the rear diff oil. I had the S10 since I bought it slightly used in 1992 and NEVER changed the diff oil. Didn't know! You can bet I'll be taking better care of my new ride.

Looking forward to reading the site and keeping up with the great info here. It's funny, I feel like I'm part of some kind of family now. :)

That's good to hear. I hope I still have that feeling in 4 years when it's paid off!
