my 4157 clears were not that bright, they were more like old headlights compared to my sylvania silvertstars in the headlights, so i went back and found some 3157s that can also be used that were silverstars for $7 and tossed them in, now they match much better

Are you saying the blinker is no brighter than the parking lights, they just blink when you hit the turn signal? Are they blinking at a normal speed, or are they faster than normal?

Do you have the correct socket? If it's from NAPA the item number is LS6469, but if it's from anywhere else you just need to make sure it's a "park & turn" socket.

I did this mod, everything works except the right signal hyperblinking. The left is blinking at a normal rate. I have the new socket and it is a dedicated turn signal with 1157 bulbs. When I took a closer look at it, only the small filament lights up which may be the reason why it's hyperblinking. All I did was cut the old socket and wired in the new socket with 1157 bulbs. I'm not sure what can be causing it to not power the bigger filament in the bulb.

Maybe recheck your wiring or possibly you have a bad bulb? But it sounds like you didn't connect the socket with the wire for the constant on filament. There should be three wires - always on, blinker, ground.

The 1157 socket only has two wires. They are both black. I got it from autozone. I wired it the same way on both sides. I also check to see if the back bulbs were burned but it was fine. Then I went and checked the fuses and they were also fine. What can possibly be causing one side to work and the other side not work? I also replaced twice with brand new 1157 bulbs and still no luck.
