It rained a bunch this past week so I washed it today. Also, I threw some hose clamps on the tailgate to prevent theft; and a couple of days ago I'm driving home, go around a corner, and hear a pop. When I got home and inspected the truck I couldn't find anything until I opened the tailgate and one of the hose clamps was laying in two pieces. Broke the metal clean through. Thought it was weird.

I got mine (the keyed version) at a local Ace hardware store.
