    Not necessarily. Lots of vendors say NOT to do the diff drop kit. It reduces ground clearance and often isn't required if you stay 3" or less. Axle shims all comes down to what your driveline angles are after install.

    Most Old Man Emu kits come with the right stuff to keep things lined up well. I did a OME kit (dakars and Nitrosports) from @HeadStrong Off-Road and it came with the right stuff. Later had a driveline shop check me out and they said my angles were perfect.
