    Hello everyone,

just purchased my first Tacoma this month (2020 TRD Sport). I am looking to lift the truck about 3”. It is stock right now. I simply want to lift it 3” because for me the stock height is a little low. I won’t be doing any off roading or anything like that. Really just want to have the truck not sit so low as it is stock. What parts/equipment do I need to achieve what I’m looking for? Can the truck be lifted To sit higher with its stock parts? Thanks! Glad to finally have a Tacoma!

There’s a lot more to it than that. 3” lift, ucas to remedy alignment issues, block , aal or leaf pack for the rear. Staying with stock wheels, tire size etc.

    Congratulations on your truck!

There are a ton of different methods and brands that can get you where you want to be. I’d suggest taking a little time to research some options and seeing what has worked well for others who had similar goals to you, as well as paying attention to the misfortune of others. Best to spend a little extra time upfront and possibly a little extra money to do it right the first time as opposed to opening up a laundry list of trouble with less than ideal parts for your goals.

I have a 1st gen, and my searches usually start on google with “1st gen tacoma ‘insert thing I’m researching”. This gives me a wider berth of information, but the vast majority of results come from tacomaworld, this resource is really great to have! Maybe start your search on google with something like “3rd gen tacoma 3” lift” and go from there, I’m sure its a topic that has been covered in depth and whatever answers you seek are likely out there many times over.

Best of luck to you, and again, congrats!!!
