    Hi, all:

Totally glad I found this forum and already have learned a lot, so thanks from the beginning for so much collective wisdom.

Put in a Bedrug (love it already, great invention) and want to get some better wheels and install the short shift mod, but this is a good truck right out of the gate.

Likes: the 2.7-liter is torquey enough
    pretty good visibility
    brakes are decent
    love the "short/sport" look
    nice dash layout
    feels well made

Dislikes: Power windows/locks/mirrors would be nice
bench seat is mucho cheapo, could use adjustable seatback
    would have liked intermittent wipers

    Nice truck!

You mentioned wanting a few more options....I know that you can't get the power items on a regular cab, but I thought you could get bucket seats and intermittent wipers. Has that changed now?

If I could have bought a regular cab with the v6 I probably would have.

Thanks for the welcome, everybody -

As for the reg cab/4-cylinder options, I don't think you can get buckets anymore, but I didn't check, I actually wanted the bench, belts for 3 at least.

Intermittent wipes might be part of a package, but again, I don't think. I'd already seen some threads dealing with retrofitting with the Toyota intermittent wiper switch assembly, so I'll get to that sooner or later, same with cruise control, a blessing on long trips.

And anybody who can make a recommendation on trailer hitches, it looks like Draw-tite or Hidden Hitch look about equal and always well-rated, though I can't decide whether to go Class II or III/IV, even though I know the tow rating's only 3,500 lbs., so Class II would handle it.

Awesome looking truck. Big fan of reg cab and the colour white. You're lucky enough to have both in one package!

    Welcome from NJ.

Nice looking truck. Love the regular cabs. Got mine new in July after having a '99 extended cab since new. First order of business should be getting some beefier tires. Put a set of 265/75r16 Hankook Dynapro ATM's on mine about a month ago. Looks and handles so much better. If you get the P rated tires, you won't lose a lot of gas mileage as they are only 6 lbs a piece heavier than the stock Dunlops (but they're bigger and more aggressive).

With regards to the hitch, I would go for the Class III. From what I've seen it's only a few dollars more for some extra piece of mind.
