    Greetings!

    Long story short, I traded in my electrically-plagued '05 Silverado towards a '15 Tacoma base-model (access cab, 5-lugger, 2.7 L4).

It's my first Toyota, second truck, and fifth vehicle. I put ~100k on my Silverado as a commuter and used it for 'truck stuff' as needed. I must say, the Silverado was much more plush than this decade-newer Tacoma, but I've come to realize that not all that glows is golden... I put >$2k of parts & labor in to my Silverado, including months at the stealership, and they never could resolve my issue (even though I paid them ~$900 for the work that they did do, which was simply a ECU flash and replacing a TACM mounted on the firewall).

    Done with Chevrolet after that.

Praise be to my new friend, Taco the Truck! He's both a truck *gasp* and greatly improved MPG for my daily work commute

Looking forward to learning & DIYing with you all

This is the truck I have with the SR5 option and been very happy last 3 1/2 years - I also had a 1999 GMC which always had something wrong with it and almost double the fuel mileage and no complaints with performance with a 4 cyl. & manual transmission and the truck has never been back to the dealer - just an oil change once a year.
