Hello everyone! Right outside Houston, TX. I’ve had 4 different cars, but never a truck and I’m loving it so far. It’s a 2005 Tacoma, 109k miles with the TRD Off Road Package. Got it about 2 weeks ago and I’ve been doing general maintenance, such as cabin air filter, engine air filter, oil change, serpentine belt, new rotors and pads, coolant flush, power steering flush, and spark plugs so far. Fully buffed out the paint as well to bring out that nice Indigo Ink Pearl. I’m hoping this truck can last me..

Only gripe I have is I have a clunk/pop sound/feel under my foot when I accelerate from a full stop if anyone can guide me in the direction on how to tackle the problem!

wow nice truck and good find!
can you elaborate on the clunk/pop that you're experiencing? some unique sounds and feels are innate to toyotas and this may just be one of them

Nice truck. Love that color on my Highlander.

Do some research on the term axle wrap.

That might not be the issue but it is common.

    Welcome

Thank you! And well it literally just feels like a hard pop sound in the accelerator pedal under my foot ONLY when I make a complete stop and then take off again. Merging onto the highway or slowing down to 5 mph and accelerating, it does not do it.. that’s the best I can describe it really. If I take off REALLY slow from a stop (crawl) it does not do it. Accelerating normally, yes.

Thanks! And nice! And it’s more of a nuisance than a major issue right now. *knock on wood*
