Some of these prices are outrageous. Nc saltwater is $16/yr res and $11/10 day for non res. My birthday present when I turned 17 was a lifetime saltwater which was/is $250. Lifetime sportsman with saltwater add on is $1643

New Jersey does not require a salt water license. They do require you apply for a Salt Water Registry (free). If caught fishing (salt water) without it you do get fined.

    Wisconsin isn’t too pricey.

if you never had a Wisconsin resident fishing license your first year is $5.00.

My wife and I purchase a spouse license which is a value buy for $31.00 (both need to be present when purchasing)
We usually purchase a Lake Michigan trout stamp also so it cost us a total of $51 a year combined.

Pretty sure its somewhat close to the same for an inland fishing license here in connecticut. $5 extra for a salmon/trout stamp.
Been free for me except the trout stamp being retired. All i can say i caught some pretty nice rainbows between 17-20'' so far this spring in these trout management lakes.

it's expensive here in CA. i bought my tag the last week of Dec 2020, and i would estimate i have fished 40x on it. so it is cheap in that respect.

After reading some of these prices, Im shocked that the NY permit I bought last week was only $25. No extra for this species or that. Dont know if it includes salt water though as I have never been to salt water in NY.

In connecticut for a resident, it costs an extra $10 for a marine fishing license or $32 for an all waters one.

In NH I pay $45 for a resident and there is no cost to fish saltwater, just have to register. Maine is like $64 for non-resident and VT is $54. I buy all of those every New Years day.

Utah is $34 for an annual resident fishing permit by itself, but the Combo license for fish AND game is $38.

In Oregon I paid $156.75 and that doesn’t even include my deer tags...

$73 for combined fish and hunting license
9.75 for Columbia River endorsement (about 70% of the state has to pay this if you plan on harvesting fish)
$46 tag to fish for salmon and steelhead...
    $28 for 2 rod endorsement...

    Not bought yet...
    Deer tag $28.50
    Bear tag $16.50

You need to get a free salt water registry permit if you want to fish the ocean. Yeah, NY is very reasonable with their license fees and has some of the best trout fishing east of the Rockies.

Also worth mentioning that I believe NY has reciprocity with RI on salt water fishing permits. RI charges for their though, so it makes more sense to get one from NY.
