    Hey guys.
I couldn't find an exact answer that I was looking for while searching the forum for a while so it led me to asking it myself. Im planning on getting 5100's all around, 887's for the front, and dakars for the back. I was wondering if I would have any trouble running 285/70/17 ko2's with -12 offset wheels. Mainly concerned about rubbing or anything like that since I will be using the truck to go offroading. If anybody is using this setup, or using this setup with different tires it would be greatly appreciated!!

You'll rub, do a cab mount chop and flatten the pinch weld, this will eliminate most of the rubbing. Anything else you'll need to hammer it down with a sledge

OME kit with 885's running 285/75/16's

I had to remove the mudflaps, trim where the mudflaps mount, trim some inner fender plastics, do a cab mount chop, trim some more inner fender plastic, and flatten the pinch weld. And I still rub..

Time for some more :drunk: then :sawzall::sawzall:

Lift, cut and chop are your best friends there.

I have the same and just rub the UCAs for now. Spydertrax 1.25" spacers should fix that though...

So to avoid this what would be the closest size to this? Or should I run spacers or a different lift to fit this size?

The lift doesn't matter. It doesn't affect fitting tires. If you run 33s you will have to trim.

All of this, plus have your alignment set with +2.5-3 Caster.

Tallest tire you can fit without cutting/modding on a Tacoma is a 265/75/16 or 265/70/17(?) realistically.

Not mine (255/85/16)... no CMC, but I did remove mud flaps and cut some plastic back.

With a 6in lift you will still rub. Lift does not affect wheel fitment. You will trim with 285

Cmc, pinch weld flatten and still rub... no one true answer fits all for ur question just keep pounding and cutting mine still rub IMG_4181.jpg Probably going to chop a little more

Just stuff the tires around a corner going 40-50. The tires will clear anything themselves.
