I have the rattle also on an 09 DC. If you press down on the dash above the passenger airbag it will stop it. Dealer actually replaced the dash but it didn't stop it. Where did you guys get the closed cell foam to place between dash and wind shield? I guess I will try that next.

Well...I actually cut a piece from a foam pool toy (don't tell the kids, lol) ......one of those foam "noodles" if that makes sense, lol :D

Did you have to take apart the dash to install any foam? I've got THE RATTLE in the same place (passenger dash area).

I dont really have a rattle more like a squeak when going over rough spots in the road. Its in the passenger side somewhere.

I have that too and I have given up trying to eliminate it cause I can't for the life of me figure this one out. Near as I can tell it has something to do with the step bars (toyoya factory ones). It is like a body "creaking" kind of sound. I have learned to live with it as it only happens when I drive over a big bump or say the entrance to a driveway. :(

I will have to look into this today... the biggest things is my retarded windshield noise. I took it to a auto glass repair guy and he did some stuff to make it stop for free... he said if that didn't make it go away to bring it back in and he would urethane the little cowl things on both sides so the wind woulnd't be able to move them anymore.

    Nothing yet, brand new!
Pfffft it's nothing. Try $728 dollars for a basic oil chage on this.

I was about to fix mine with a 12 gauge shotgun blast. I may try this first before I take it to the dealer.

I've tried stuffing ... stuff up there(pass. side) , using zip ties, tightening bolts and the damn noise still won't go away. So I use that big round knob in the middle of the dash marked ..... volume. Surprise the noise stopped.

Mine was coming from just above the glove box. I took box off of the hinges and took off the top piece that it fits into off as well. Look up and there is a white box with a plug going into it. THAT was the rattle on mine. I used electrical tape to hold it in place....rattle gone....2010 btw

My center console that surrounds the gear shifter "creaks". Seems that when I go over a large bump or, say railroad tracks...something that makes the body twist...that damn plastic piece "creaks". Drives me nuts!! Dunno how to remove that piece to fix it. Anyone?

I fixed my squeak this weakend, by doing what the original poster did, I put a piece of foam between the dash and the front windshield and poof, no more squeak! Anyone who is living with that most irritating noise, try it it might work for you. Thanks for the suggestion OP

Damn that sux.. my 03 rattles like crazy on the passenger side. I chaulked that up as being an old "truck" issue. My 04 Honda Element has basically zero rattles. My previous old 95 Grand AM doesn't even rattle as much as my Taco.. sucks that the newer 2nd gens are also rattling.. Hopefully Toyota's new direction will result in better quality vehicles.

You stuck her in the back seat didn't ya? I had a screaching noise in the front passenger side. Then I bought her a RAV4
